The Building Joy is developed and first led by two Cambridge PhDs who are enthusiastic in teaching back in 2017. They are Dr. Heyi Zhang and Dr. Winnie Pui. Heyi is a developmental psychologist and Winnie is an educator in the area of special and inclusive education. Heyi and Winnie have many experiences in curriculum design as well as creative instruction methods in different learning levels and subject learning. Together they established Building Joy Lego group and other playful classes (e.g. Chinese language group, art & craft group, music group etc.).
Our team believe that every young learner has a unique potential and we believe a play-based learning setting will encourage creativity, build resilience and develop self-regulation skills.
Under differentiated instruction, all young learners have tailored learning preferences and learn effectively in a friendly, warm, and welcome environment.
